CESM2 press release

The primary goal of the Community Earth System Model (CESM) project is to develop a state-of-the-art model and to use it to perform the best possible science to understand Earth system variability and global change. We will strive to build a CESM community of users who are interested in participating in this project.

Who We Are

CESM is a fully-coupled, community, global model that provides state-of-the-art computer simulations of the Earth's past, present, and future Earth system states.

The CESM project is supported primarily by the National Science Foundation (NSF). Administration of the CESM is maintained by CGD at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR).
